Far From Expected.

About a year ago, we won the tourism account for the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority. So we went out and did some research. Some more research. And a little - ok, a lot - more research. What we learned is this: on the surface, when people think of Reno, they say things like “armpit.” And every attempt to market it as upscale fails. But we learned something else - beneath the surface, Reno’s actually a cool little town. Think Austin, TX or Madison, WI. So, after a lot of hard work, persuasion and cajoling, we came up with the campaign you see here. It celebrates the wonderful weirdness of Reno, and aims at an entirely new audience - people we came to call “Real Hunters,” i.e. people looking for authentic, offbeat, non-corporate fun.
