Matrix Partners is a hugely successful VC company. They have a track record of successful companies that competitors would die for and a history of repeat relationships that is unheard of in the industry. It became Mortar’s job to attract more varied entrepreneurs in the cluttered environs of Sand Hill Road, where VC’s are rock stars and the players are established.
So the design, information architecture and tone of the site has to work together to create a single, strong narrative: Matrix Means Business. It's a narrative that focuses on the right audience with the right message, with the intent of attracting - and keeping - the right people interested in working with Matrix Partners.
